
Okay folks... finally, we know what the baby is!! Yesterday David and I went in for the appointment and I was so nervous. I was scared they would find something wrong, or we wouldn't be able to tell the sex... and I was just plain scared to see the baby. I don't know why that scared me I guess it just made everything very real. Obviously a pregnancy test, bulging abdomen, multiple times hearing the heart beat and finally feeling the baby beating up my insides wasn't real enough for me. Actually feeling the baby inside is so cool... this little guy is super active most days.

Anyways... back on topic! The ultrasound was very cool. As the doctor went through her list of things to check, she told us what she was looking for and if everything looked normal. Everything was fine. We learned that the baby's vital organs are performing as they should, and there are no backbone or brain issues. The only thing a little off was one of the baby's kidneys looked like it was a different texture than the other one, but she didn't seem concerned about it,
so hopefully it will work out okay. We also learned that the baby looks like it's five days older than what my due date would make it but that isn't enough of a difference to change the due date. I think it just means I'm going to have a big baby. TSo the doctor asked us if we wanted to know what it is and we both said yes, and she pointed out the baby's "outdoor plumbing system" and I said "I knew it!" We were both hoping for a girl first but, of course, neither of us are disappointed at all. In fact it seems like every time I look at the ultrasound pictures I get even more excited. Seriously... even though he looks like an alien, and
