Just some cutie pie pics of Jonas baby :)

Life as we know it

Time goes by so quickly when
you have a baby, I think it's because you're more focused on what they are doing and how to take care of them, rather than what day it is and how much time is passing. Then you look back and realize how much has happened. Jonas is 9 months old and I can't believe it's almost been a year. He has been the best little baby. He is generally happy, always cute, he loves to cuddle and has the sweetest personality. Lately we've been dealing with teething which is definitely not fun. Tooth number 4 came in about a week and a half ago and we're hoping for a little break... maybe I should hope for them all to come soon instead and then we wouldn't draw out the process. Jonas still doesn't know how to crawl yet, but I think it's our fault for not giving him tummy when he was little. That's caused us a few problems... lesson learned. We aren't to worried about him not crawling yet though, he still has some time.

We're finally moving to a bigger apartment which is very exciting. David is still job hunting, which has been frustrating for both of us. Something is out there for him, there has to be, it's just finding it that's proving difficult. We're happy though and at least we're able to live off of what I'm making for now. So if any of you who read this know of any entry level mechanical engineering positions out there (anywhere) pass it on our way ;)

Winter with the Jones'

We have had so much fun this winter! We got to take Jonas tubing a couple times. He seems to be okay with it... but I don't think it's his favorite thing yet!

Jonas sat on Santa's lap for the 1st time, he was to tired to care though :)
And we had some excellent trips to visit family in California and North Carolina for the holidays.

Wow I can't believe how long it has been since we've posted! I'm as bad at blogging as I am at writing in my journal. So much has happened in our lives since we last posted that I don't think I'll be able to give a full account of everything. I'll just try to highlight the things we have pictures for.

Back in October 2009 Jonas got a helmet to correct a flat spot on his head. Jonas has been quick to do many things in his life so far (except for rolling, scooting, crawling, etc. We're still working on these).

So we were hoping that the helmet situation would be the same. Jonas was always really high in his percentiles for height and weight, but his head was on the small side. He got his helmet and it seemed like growth spurt after growth spurt and in 5 weeks, not only did his head circumfrance grow 3 cm, but his flat spot filled in past what our goal was, and we were able to get the helmet off. I was SO happy about this because it smelled even though we cleaned it and his skin started to be really dry and irritated. So thank you to those of you who prayed for him :) This last picture is the day Jonas didn't have to wear his helmet, and the 1st day I could play with his hair again :)

These are some of our favorite pictures of Jonas lately.

A video from Yellowstone

This is Dragon's Mouth Spring. It kinda looks and smells like Pirates of Caribbean ride at Disneyland.

This one was like a sauna being in the steam as it blew in the wind. A lit ways off from here, there's a hillside full of dead trees with their roots sticking out of the ground. Because of the volcano under Yellowstone, the ground got so hot it cooked the trees.

Here's an updated photo of the boat. It's kinda on hold due to funding and maching of parts. Per Naudia's request, the name is a tribute to our son: 'Jonas Blue'. It's almost finished as you can tell. Hopefully, we can get it on the water this year before the water gets too cold to retrieve if anything goes awry, cross-fingers.
