My Rambling

Okay everyone... sorry I started this blog and then didn't even really post anything. Still no fun pictures to put up, but they'll come soon! Halloween is in just a few days and it seems like it has just crept up on us! We don't even have any definite plans... not surprising, I know. We may stay home and give candy to the five kids that live in our complex (the only kids who will knock on our door) or we may go to our ward Halloween party. Tonight we're carving pumpkins with some friends so at least we'll have some festivity.

As far as I know the baby is growing nicely! On Thursday I will be 8 weeks along which means the baby should be almost an inch long and my uterus is the size of a grapefruit! I swear I can tell a difference in the size of my tummy... even though no one else probably can. Luckily I have figured out how to control my nausea which is nice... it's all about staying hydrated, and not smelling really nasty smells!

The week after next is when I have my 1st prenatal doctors appointment. I'm excited and don't want to think about it at the same time. I've never had my blood drawn (unless you count pricking the finger) and I hate needles, so it's not going to be very fun. This is something I've got to get over though, so I'm just going to deal with it... and bring David for moral support ;)

I haven't really had cravings or anything (except the occasional need to eat a baked potato), but I have these crazy dreams every night! Most of the time they involve food and the beach! David says that this means our baby is going to love eating and will have to live near the ocean. This is followed by his usual plug for living in CA :) Occasionally I have dreams about the baby at various ages... last night I dreamed I went in for my 1st appointment and found out I was already half way through the pregnancy (wishful dreaming?!).

David is taking the GRE on Friday! I'm nervous just because it's so important to getting him into graduate school, but I think he's going to do well. He really doesn't seem nervous, but maybe that's because he is so busy dealing with all the other school stuff he's involved in. Pretty much... he's amazing, and working really hard.

Congratulations on starting a blog! They're such a fun way to keep in touch with people from all over. :) I love your profile picture! What a beautiful dress, and David's got a nice pose going. Congratulations on your pregnancy! Sounds like we're just about a month apart.
